Enervation Rules

Enervation Ruling

Enervation is when a character or creature fails to eat, drink, or charge themselves enough, and begins to slow starve to death. Creatures that rely on Hunger will refer to the Exhaustion table, creatures that rely on Battery will refer to the Depletion table, and creatures that rely on Photosynthesis will refer to the Wilting table. When a creature is lower on the table, ALL debuffs at and above said level will permanently apply to the creature until they can get their levels back up.

Exhaustion

Exhaustion affects all creatures affected by Hunger. When a creature is not able to meet their hunger and thirst requirements for the day, they will receive exhaustion per missed requirement, up to 2. When a creature possesses levels of exhaustion, they cannot overeat or over drink to solve the issue, instead, they only lose a point of exhaustion when they drink and eat a sufficient amount that day.

Depletion

Depletion affects all creatures who have a Battery. Every "tick" of Sustenance Rules, charge will go down by 1, if the Battery is not charged for an hour. When a creature is missing charges, they must spend 1 hour per charge inactive and charging to regain said charges. Due to constantly losing charge, the first two missing charges come without attrition.

Wilting

Wilting affects all creatures who rely on Photosynthesis. Every "tick" of Sustenance Rules will consume one reserve, if the character does not recieve 1 hour of inactivity in a star's light/Phænogen, or consume an item with the Starlight modifier. When a creature is missing reserves, they may be reobtained through 1 hour of inactivity in a star's light/Phænogen, or consuming an item with the Starlight modifier, which restores 2 reserves per the consumed item's rarity (Enigmatic rarity will completely restore 100% of reserves).
